Student Leadership Programs

The Office of Student Leadership Programs coordinates educational experiences for students outside the classroom. Social, educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities planned and created by, with, and for students assist in self-understanding and development which creates strong citizens of any community. SLP offers ways for students to explore leadership, teamwork, and knowledge of the world beyond the classroom. Through the same tenets of the RPS Creed: honesty, energy, economy, and system, we strive to complement the academic learning of RPS students to better prepare them professionally and for the world outside of RPS.

Literary and Cultural Activities

For the harmonious growth of holistic personality, the students are exposed to academic, scientific, literary and cultural influences. We endeavour to train leaders who on account of their integrity, character and cultural background, will instill confidence into, and foster amongst the people of the varied and vast land of ours.

Industrial Tours and Seminars

Industrial tours to different industries (such as HCL, OMAXE, Skylar, Wipro, Dell etc.) of the country are undertaken every year so as to acquaint the students with manufacturing process adopted by the progressive units in important industrial centres. The institutes organizes a number of technical seminars/conferences in association with various research and professional associations. Eminent technologists from other teaching and research institutions are invited to deliver lectures on current topics of research so that the students do not stay ignorant of the work being done elsewhere.

Departmental Associations

Departmental Association formed under the Departments are very active. These associations serve as platforms for the students to sharpen their knowledge and skill. Students hold frequent seminars, symposia and invited lectures. Through the association activities, students get training in interview skills and leadership qualities.

Arts & Sports Clubs

The RPS Engineering College is keen in establishing itself in extra curricular activities. Under the auspices of the arts club, the students are able to exhibit and excel in their artistic talents. Frequent cultural functions and annual arts festivals provide opportunity for students to relax mentally amidst tight academic schedule. The sports club is active in providing the right environment for the students to participate in the various sports and games activities. The members participate in intercollegiate sports competitions and develop the competitive spirit required for their future career.
